Case report

This images and videos show a case of vasa previa diagnosed at 22 weeks of gestation in a woman (G2P1) with unremarkable history. The patient was admitted in our hospital at 32 weeks and the baby delivered by C-section at 35 weeks without complications.

Video 1, 2, 3: 2D and doppler endovaginal scans show bilobate placenta with intramembranous vessels at the cervical os.

Image 1, 2: Post-natal confirmation of bilobate placenta and velamentous insertion of the cord responsible for the vasa previa.
