This is a patient scanned at 32 weeks of gestation. The examination revealed a distended and a thick-walled bladder:

The amniotic fluid was normal but there was evidence of pelvi-calyceal dilatation and ureteral dilatation:

A diagnosis of posterior uretheral valves was made and was confirmed after birth, by cystoscopy and retrograde cystography showed bilateral reflux. The baby was operated with resection of the valves. The creatinine level was normal.
