Case report

The following images demonstrate a case of unilateral right multicystic dysplastic kidney that was found in a 21 weeks old fetus of a 29-year-old woman (G2P1) with non-contributive personal and family history. Dual test performed at 12 weeks revealed NT of 1.7 mm and calculated risk for T21 was 1:211. The parents declined invasive procedures.

During anomaly scan, performed at 21 weeks, the right dysplastic kidney and mild oligohydramnios (AFI 11.4 cm) were evidenced. The left kidney looked normal. At that time parents asked for an amniocentesis that revealed normal 46,XY karyotype.

Amniotic fluid volume had restored and the pregnancy evolved uneventfully until the term.
