Ectopia cordis with pleural effusions (not proven at pathology)

This 8-week fetus presented with bilateral pleural effusions and the appearance of an Ectopia cordis. Note the position of the heart in the second segment of the video-clip. A repeat examination was scheduled for 2 weeks later but the mother miscarried before and there was not enough tissue for chromosomal analysis.
