Definition: Amniotic adhesion occurs in a wide variety of fetal malformations and can involve the limbs and the crania-caudal region or the trunk. Amniotic band usually occurs after premature rupture of membranes.

Case report: It was the first pregnancy of an 18-year-old woman. She did not take any medications during the first trimester. At 12 weeks, an amniotic band syndrome was diagnosed by her gynecologist. Initially the patient did not accept the diagnosis. She was referred to our unit at 15 weeks. The amniotic band syndrome was confirmed.  The interruption of the pregnancy was performed. The anatomic-pathological analysis was refused, only a postmortem radiography was performed.
